GET TO KNOW STACY FORD

Stacy Ford, LPC

Therapist

“I have a lot of things to prove to myself. One is that I can live my life fearlessly.” -Oprah Winfrey

Hello! I’m Astacia Ford, LPC, but you can call me Stacy. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Georgia and Louisiana and am passionate about helping women. I help improve the lives of women; from the people-pleasing woman struggling to assert boundaries with others, to the young lady who desires increased self-esteem and self-awareness. It is my goal to see everyone I work with discover and create a beautiful life worth living.

Let’s Walk Together

During our work together, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where understanding, healing, and evolving can occur. I believe that people are ever-changing and many stressors in life are alleviated by the personal commitment to make a change. Change can be difficult, and I help my clients during the change process by developing a flexible mindset and grace.

My Therapeutic Approach

When working with clients, I use a systemic and solution-focused approach. Individuals are greatly influenced by their environment; thus, I treat the individual from a holistic perspective. It is gratifying to help individuals recognize maladaptive behavioral patterns in their lives and replace those behaviors with healthier ways of coping and living. I consider it a high honor to walk alongside individuals on their healing journey.

Professional Experience

I am trained and have expertise working with women, couples, and families in community-based and psychiatric outpatient settings.  I work with clients who have a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and poor boundaries.
