The Well Woman has licensed clinicians who are skilled and duly qualified to provide clinical supervision for individuals seeking clinical licensure in the state of Georgia. Supervision may occur in an individual, paired, or group setting per the supervisees’ preference and supervisor’s availability. The supervisee must work in a clinical setting as a requirement to obtain supervision at The Well Woman. The supervisee must also receive consistent supervision, no less than one time per month, so that the supervisor can accurately assess the clinical skills of the supervise.
The goals of supervision are to provide on-going assessment of strengths and limitations and assure practice according to sound theory, and ethical, legal, and administrative regulations. The supervisor will help the supervisee develop clinical assessment and treatment skills, review therapeutic techniques, explore treatment options, and address dilemmas created by conflicting demands. The supervisor will help the supervisee develop skills to practice self-preservation.
Individual and/or paired supervision is scheduled by appointment based on the supervisor and supervisees’ availability. Group supervision is ongoing and occurs monthly. Six is the maximum number of supervisees in a group. Supervision is provided by Autumn Collier, LCSW, and Melanie Bentick, LPC, CPCS.
